THE DALMATIAN

Perched on the Dalmatian Coastline, this concept design for a series of penthouse apartments; contrasts the rugged beauty and indented shoreline with a light and transparent built form. Cantilevered concrete edges emerge from the topography, propped up by metallic columns that reflect the glistening turquoise waters.

The sites unique location has informed the selection of natural materials and plays part in an immersive living experience. Rammed earth blade walls hold the interior shell, protecting it from the harsh afternoon sun and benefiting from natural thermal properties. Sustainable principles have been carried throughout the design, defining each space with subtle luxuries found in nature and the surrounding elements.
