Working with the existing bones of a late 1980’s building, this project involved various alterations and additions to bring a civic building back to life. Sustainability was a key focus, through the use of recycled materials and retaining most of the buildings form and structure. With a new tapered entry awning and feature blade walls, the building adorns a prominent corner within the local CBD.
This project was part of a Liverpool City Council initiative to revitalise some of the city’s older buildings to ensure the vibrancy of the streetscapes.
